POLICE CADET PROGRAM

Salisbury Police Cadet Program

The City of Salisbury is seeking qualified candidates to participate in our Police Cadet Program which allows those who are not academy trained, licensed police officers to be sent to the police academy with the tuition paid for by the City of Salisbury. After successfully graduating from the police academy and becoming certified as a Missouri Peace Officer, cadets will be contractually employed as a Police Officer by the City of Salisbury for a term of 3 years.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED

Age Limit: Must be 21 by academy graduation

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen

Background: Applicants will not be hired if they have felony convictions as an adult or if they have plead guilty to a felony as an adult.  Misdemeanor convictions may also preclude employment.

Valid Driver’s License: Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license
